Windsor Castle is an official Royal Residence in Windsor, Berkshire, UK. Windsor Castle is the largest inhabited castle in the world where Queen Elizabeth II spends her weekend. More than five hundred people live and work here.
Windsor Castle was used as refuge for the Royal family during the bombing campaigns of the Second World War. The Castle was originally built in 1066. From time to time, Royal Reigns have modified, reconsrtucted and built palace within the Windsor Castle. It was caught in to fire in 1992 and survived.
It is a popular tourist attraction as selective exhibition rooms and gardens are open to public and tourists. Windsor has two railway stations, shuttle services and many buses for travel facilities for tourists. It has a theatre, several hotels and restaurants just in front of the castle.
There were so many things I wanted to share with you but camera was not allowed :( inside the exhibition rooms. However, I have managed to find one beautiful picture which was displayed in the Prince Phillipe's drawing room. Both pictures were taken in same place and same posture but 60yrs difference. (1947 & 2007)
