Dashain is The Greatest Hindu Religious Festival of Nepal which continues for 15 days, celebrated by all Nepalis (regardless of their religion and caste) around the world. Though it is called Dashain celebration for the whole 15 days, it has different meaning and story for each day. Celebration starts from 'Day 1' to 'Day 10', 10th (Dashami)is the main celebrated day of Goddess Durga for her victory over Demons and the rest 5days are the follow up of the 'Day 10'. This year, I particiapated NRN HK Dashain party which was co-organized with Nepal Chamber of Commerce. NRN HK and Nepal Chamber of Commerce are organizing Dashain Party for past few years successfully as a team. The party was full of fun and energy. We had some exciting games with prizes. We exchanged our gifts, wishes and blessings with eachother. I have shared some photos below.. Enjoy! Check more photos 
Dashain and Tihar programme was held on Saturday 20 October 2012 at Birch Hill Scout Hall. Dashain is main festival in the Nepalese Community and this is the day, Durga Mata, a goddness of goodness defeated over the demon, wicked and king of devil Mahisa-Shoor who terrorise the whole universe. During Dashain, the family members and close relatives united and share their feelings, emotions and receive blessing. Tihar, a festival of light, falls after 2 weeks of Dashain. This is the festival to worship the mother of fortune (Laxmi Mata), and also worship goes to Crow, Dog and Cow who helps a humanity in different ways. Final day of Tihar is 'Bhai Tika', brother receives blessing from sister and both sister and brother wishes happiness each other for their love and prosperous life. Check more photos 
This month's Tea and Coffee Afternoon by Bracknell Nepalese Society was held on 14 October 2012 in The Tea House in Bracknell town. The event is held every second Sunday of the month. Tea and coffee is served at arrival and blood pressure measurement is also offered to everyone. London Metropolitan University lost the right to admit foreign students that caused thousands of international students who have paid thousands of pounds to pay their tution fees and visa. Foreign students are panic by UK Border Agency's decision though the University is still giving top priority to the interests of international students. It is said that some students are staying without visa, some students do not have good standard of English and some are not attending lectures. The institution said it was commencing immediate legal action against the UKBA so that its students can return to study "as a matter of urgency". Foreign students have to leave the UK or find an alternative course by December 1. Genuine students have 60 days to make a new application or to arrange to leave the UK. The countdown starts when the Border Agency writes to them and no letters will be sent out until October 1. Identical twin sisters (Rachel and Clare, 42) in Australia were famous for their anorexic battle and trouble existence. They have appeared on Australian TV several times about their life with anorexia and eating disorder. Many people assumed anorexia will kill them as one of the sisters said in interview, "Essentially, we don’t eat anything. We might have a piece of watermelon." Sadly, they died in house fire on monday night. Investigators said, it was an accident and no suspicious activity found. A recent study in Denmark has reported that women cat owners are likely to develop mental health problems and commit suicide since they could be infected with a common parasite from cat litter. The parasite is called ‘Toxoplasma gondii’ or ‘T gondii’ in short. The parasite spreads through contact with cat faeces or eating undercooked meat or unwashed vegetables. It increases the risk of your suicidal thoughts. Shockingly, 33% of the world population is infected however the parasite is not producing any symptoms. Women infected with T. Gondii were 1.5X times more likely to attempt suicide. Therefore, if you have a cat at home, try to handle their faeces carefully and always cook your food well. Good luck. It has been quite some time that we are hearing rumour about iPad mini. It is believed that the production will start in September, or by October 2012. It will rpdouce a tablet with an 8-inch or smaller screen to compete with the latest 7-inch screen Nexus 7.
