Witchcraft murder - Eric Bikubi and Megalie Bamu

Eric Bikubi, 28, and Magalie Bamu, aged 29, from Newham, east London killed Kristy Bamu, 15, accusing of Witchcraft.

Kristy is younger brother of Megalie and Eric is Megalie's boyfriend.

Kristy and his siblings came to London from Paris during Christmas 2010 and staying at his sister's place. Later, Eric accused Kristy a witch and he tortured him to death.

Kristy was beaten by sticks, pliers, a metal bar, hammer and chisel. He was in such pain after days of being beaten, he begged to die.

Eric put Kristy in a bath after days of torture, Kristy died when he was "too exhausted" to resist and keep his head above water. When Eric realised Kristy was not moving, it was too late.

Kristy Bamu had 101 injuries and died from drowning and being beaten with a metal bar.

Both denied killing Kristy. The defence had argued Eric was mentally ill when he carried out the killing, with the scan of his brain showing lesions which "probably contributed to an abnormal mental".

However, the prosecution had rejected this as a plea to reduce the charge against him.

Magalie Bamu told the jury during her defence, Eric had forced her to join in the attack on Kristy.

Eric and Magalie both originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, were remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced on Monday.
