New Transportation Ticketing System in North America and Europe
Do you know 1 percent of people today are using mobile phones for metro rail and bus ticket? We will be expecting 13 percent of North American and Western European mobile users to use their NFC (Near Field Communication)-enabled mobile phones by 2016.
Currently in UK, they are using manual ticket system, which consumes lots of time for paying and returning money. Only London is using Oyster card, which is a more efficient electronic card. NFC believes this phone system will drive more customers from time to time and it creates a platform for more advertisements and offers.
Hong Kong is using Octopus for all transportations, convenience stores, restaurants, building securities, rewards, etc. Where are you from and what system are they using, please share with us below.
